Anthony Martial will remain at Manchester United next season amid interest from West Ham United, according to his agent Philippe Lamboley.
The French striker has been tipped to leave the Old Trafford due to his reduced role under Jose Mourinho, who has preferred other players due to the inconsistencies from the former AS Monaco forward.
Martial was arguably one of the best players for Manchester United during the reign of former boss Louis Van Gaal but has struggled under Mourinho, with reports that the Portuguese boss is ready to offload the Frenchman to bring in better players.
West Ham United have been linked with a move for Martial since the last January transfer window but the 21-year-old chose to remain at the Old Trafford to play his part as United fought to win two titles during their hectic season.
Despite the intense speculation over the striker’s future, he said: “Martial has two years left and there is no reason for him to leave Manchester at the moment.
“If Ed Woodward tells me they want him to leave, things are different.
“But that is not what he told me during our last meeting.”
